Mr. Grzybowski retired from OSHA in July 2023 where he most recently served as Assistant Area Director for OSHA’s Birmingham Area Office with responsibilities for the 30 northern counties of Alabama. He is skilled a professional investigator who has conducted formal internal, domestic, and international investigations into matters including safety, national security, terrorism, employee misconduct, fraud, and misappropriation of equipment. He is a 2022 recipient of the US Department of Labor Secretary’s Honor Award for Worker Protection.
In 2015, he published Behavior Based Safety and The Multigenerational Workforce.
While working as an independent contractor in Europe, Mr. Grzybowski conducted individual and group training for diverse, multi-lingual, multi-national classes in basic, intermediate and advanced English, intercultural communication, public speaking, business negotiation and business meeting methodologies. His client base included firms such as Daimler-Chrysler, Whirlpool, KPMG, Deutsche Telekom (T-Mobile), the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt e.V. (DLR), and the Börse Stuttgart Group (Stuttgart Stock Exchange).
DLR is the Federal Republic of Germany's aerospace research center (i.e. the equivalent to NASA)., and the Börse Stuttgart Group (Stuttgart Stock Exchange). The Börse Stuttgart Group operates stock exchanges in Germany, Sweden, and Switzerland.
During his military career Mr. Grzybowski served as a commissioned officer in both the US Army and a US Navy, retiring as a US Army Lieutenant Colonel. While assigned to the US Army he served as a counterintelligence special agent/officer in South Korea, Haiti, Germany, Italy and the United States. During his service in the Navy, he was assigned to multiple ship and shore assignments including work as a marine/shipboard engineer, assistant university professor at the University of Texas, and officer in charge of a SEABEE detachment in the mid-Pacific.
Mr. Grzybowski is also a graduate/Ancien of the NATO Defense College (NDC). The NDC is an international military college for North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) countries. It is located in Rome, Italy. It has been entrusted by NATO member nations to provide quality education to their senior officers and civilian officials for 70 years.

While in the private sector Mr. Grzybowski has worked in the maritime transportation and light manufacturing industries. He has lived and traveled throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia.
